Modesto City Schools has partnered with various institutions throughout the county to offer our students opportunities to earn college credits while in high school. Below and through the links to your left, you will find links to more information on what is available for the 2021-22 school year.
MJC offers many courses for our students in many subjects. Students are able to enroll in these classes for free by filling out a petition for Dual Enrollment here.
California State University, Stanislaus has partnered with Modesto City Schools starting the 2020-21 school year to offer students a course in Ethnic Studies. This course will introduce students to the origins, history, and contemporary themes of Ethnic Studies. The course highlights the struggles of historically underrepresented groups and the importance of student and community activism in creating social change. This course is being offered through California State University, Stanislaus in a synchronous virtual format.

The University of California, Merced has just partnered with Modesto City Schools starting the 2021-22 school year to offer courses within Child Development and Care. These four-course dual enrollment courses cover the following core areas required to meet the qualifications for the California Teacher's Credentialing permit, Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (with School-Age Authorization). Students will be prepared with the skills and knowledge to work with children from birth to school-age while earning college credit.
