Professional Development Catalog
Through the collaborative efforts of Modesto City Schools and our union partners (MTA and CSEA), the Curriculum and Instruction & Professional Development Division is thrilled to be able to offer our first-ever Professional Development Compensation Initiative. The Unified Talent Professional Development Catalog has been developed to support the needs of this initiative. Through it, our District employees can browse potential courses offerings and register for courses that will benefit their personal, professional development.
The PD Catalog can be accessed by MCS Employees from work or home devices via District login. There is an app available to review courses that have been registered for, but users cannot use the Phone App to actually register for sections.

- About the Professional Development Compensation Initiative
Through the collaborative efforts of Modesto City Schools and our union partners (MTA and CSEA), the Curriculum and Instruction & Professional Development Division is thrilled to be able to offer our first-ever Professional Development Compensation Initiative. Our mission is to provide high quality, district goals-aligned professional development. We are committed to providing offerings that also build the professional capacity for each and every staff member in MCS.
All staff may earn 0.5% of your annual salary by completing six (6) hours of professional development that occurs outside of your normal work hours (professional development that is mandatory for your position is not eligible). All professional development that is eligible for this initiative can be located in the catalogue found through the MCS Staff Application page https://www.mcs4kids.com/staff/applications or directly through the MCS PD Catalog link. This initiative is completely voluntary. Classified, Certificated, and Management may participate. Eligible courses will be offered throughout the entire school year from July 2019 through June 2020. Currently we have prepared over 40 courses that all staff may take and an additional 50 courses that are specifically tailored to certificated staff.
Modesto City Schools is committed to supporting you in the completion of this exciting opportunity. If you have any questions regarding registering for classes or navigating the catalogue, you may email CI & PD here: CIPD@mcs4kids.com
