Connecting to MCS WiFi (Students)
- WINDOWS DEVICES (HP x360)
- Along the bottom right system tray, click the WiFi icon and a list of available WiFi networks will be visible.
- Click MCS-WiFi and then click the Connect button
- The WiFi icon should now show a connected icon.
- APPLE IOS LAPTOPS
- Click on the WiFi icon at the top right corner of the screen
- Click MCS-WiFi and then click the Connect button.
- Type in your District student ID and password. Click the Join button
- The WiFi icon should now show a connected icon.
- CHROMEBOOKS
- At the bottom right, if the Chromebook is not connected to the MCS WiFi, the wifi icon will be dark shaded and on mouseover, will say Disconnected. Note: If you see the MCS-WiFi network name and a signal strength, your Chromebook is already connected to Wi-Fi.
- To connect to the MCS-WiFi, click the wifi icon and a list of networks will appear. Click the MCS-WiFi network.
- In the Identity text box type your District Student ID and in the Password text box type your District password.
- Click the Connect button.
- APPLE PHONES
- Go to the Settings App and tap on Wi-Fi.
- Turn on Wi-Fi if it is not on, then tap on MCS-WIFI.
- Type in your District student ID and password.
- On the SSL Certificate screen, click Trust at the top.
- ANDROID PHONES
To connect an Android phone to a wireless network:
- Press the Home button, and then press the Apps button. Navigate to Settings.
- Under “Wireless and Networks”, make sure "Wi-Fi" is turned on, then press Wi-Fi.
- You may have to wait a moment as your Android device detects wireless networks in range, and displays them in a list. Press MCS-WiFi-Staff.
- Type in your District Student ID and password and press Connect. This will complete your connection to the MCS-WiFi network.
