Connecting to MCS-WiFi-Staff

Use your District Workstation username and password when prompted. Staff username is usually lastname.f and student username is studentID#

  • WINDOWS DEVICES (Surface Pro, Surface Book, etc.)
    1. Along the bottom right system tray, click the WiFi icon and a list of available WiFi networks will be visible.
    2. Click MCS-WiFi-Staff and then click the Connect button
    3. The WiFi icon should now show a connected icon.
  • APPLE IOS LAPTOPS
    1. Click on the WiFi icon at the top right corner of the screen
    2. Click MCS-WiFi-Staff and then click the Connect button.
    3. Type in your District Workstation username and password. Click the Join button
    4. The WiFi icon should now show a connected icon.
  • CHROMEBOOKS

    Generally, MCS Staff will not be using Chromebooks, but the directions are included in case there is a need.

    1. At the bottom right, if the Chromebook is not connected to the MCS-WiFi-Staff, the wifi icon will be dark shaded and on mouseover, will say Disconnected. Note: If you see the MCS-WiFi-Staff network name and a signal strength, your Chromebook is already connected to Wi-Fi.
    2. To connect to the MCS-WiFi-Staff, click the wifi icon and a list of networks will appear. Click the MCS-WiFi-Staff network.

    3. In the Identity text box type your District Username and in the Password text box type your District password.
    4. Click the Connect button.
  • APPLE PHONES
    1. Go to the Settings App and tap on Wi-Fi. 
    2. Turn on Wi-Fi if it is not on, then tap on MCS-WiFi-Staff.

    4. On the SSL Certificate screen, click Trust at the top.

  • ANDROID PHONES

    To connect an Android phone to a wireless network:

    1. Press the Home button, and then press the Apps button. Navigate to Settings.
    2. Under “Wireless and Networks”, make sure "Wi-Fi" is turned on, then press Wi-Fi.
    3. You may have to wait a moment as your Android device detects wireless networks in range, and displays them in a list. Press MCS-WiFi-Staff.
    4. Type in your District username and password. and press Connect. This will complete your connection to the MCS-WiFi network.
