Immunization Clinic August 908/02/2019
An immunization clinic for Modesto City Schools’ students who are lacking immunizations required for school attendance will be held Friday, August 9, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Roosevelt Junior High School, 1330 College Avenue. A parent/guardian must accompany students. Please bring health insurance information.
California law requires children to receive certain immunizations in order to attend school.
New immunization laws took effect July 1, 2019 that affect students entering preschool, transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, 7th grade, and 9th grade, as well as new or transferring students.
For details regarding the new requirements please see the following documents from the California Department of Public Health:
- California Immunization Requirements for Pre-Kindergarten - English/Spanish
- Parents’ Guide to Immunizations Required for School Entry TK/K-12 - English/Spanish
Students must qualify for free immunizations. See the flyer linked below for details.
Please call your health care professional for more information about medical exemptions. As of January, 2016, personal beliefs exemptions are no longer valid and students with prior exemptions must be up to date for any other immunizations required for school attendance.
