• Celebrating Six Consecutive Years of Increasing Graduation Rates


    Modesto City Schools is celebrating its sixth consecutive year of increasing graduation rates!

    Since 2010, the graduation rate increased 12.6%, bringing it up to 87.6%; higher than the county, state and nation.

    “There is so much to celebrate with the newly released graduation data,” said Superintendent Pam Able. “This growth comes as a result of strong strategic planning and targeting intervention for our at-risk students. We will continue to refine our efforts until all of our students walk the stage.”

    Since 2010, all subgroups show the following increases in graduation rates:

    • African American +14.4%
    • Asian +14.4%
    • English Learners +10.3%
    • Hispanic +13.2%
    • Special Education +2.3%
    • Socioeconomically Disadvantaged +14.8%
    • Two or More +26.4%
    • White +10.8%
